Vladimír Hirjak’s focus is on banking, finance and pension savings, state administration and local self-government.
For ten years, Vladimír Hirjak served as a member of most senior bodies of ING Group in Slovakia with responsibility for external affairs. From 1995 to 2002, he worked as deputy director and then as director of the Česká spořitelna sales office in Slovakia. In 1994 and 1995, he was charged with setting up and managing the sales office of Ukrainian Lilsbank in Slovakia. From 1992 to 1994, he worked for the Association of Towns and Communities of Slovakia, first as director of its Legal and External Affairs Department and then as its Appointed General Secretary.
Vladimír Hirjak has also been the Vice-President of the Slovak Rating Agency and a supervisory board member of the European Rating Agency. He has also served as a member of the Legislative Council of the Government of the Slovak Republic. For many years, he has been a member of the Slovak Insurance Association’s Assembly of Delegates for ING Slovakia.
